STAMFORD took all three points with a goal in each half to keep themselves in with a chance of a play-off place.
Stamford elected to play against the strong wind in the first half and took an early lead when Jack Duffy was found in space on the edge. He cut inside, took on a couple of defenders and unleashed a thunderous shot into the net, giving Jason Alexander no chance.
Stamford almost had a second from an almighty goalmouth scramble, and went close again when Rob Morgan tried his luck with an acrobatic overhead kick.
