HITCHIN Town’s battle to stay up was hit after defeat to Halesowen Town.
The match failed to ignite in a first half of hopeful long balls and a midfield muddle that resembled a petty squabble.
Chances were few and ideas scarce but a fine run on the left from Hitchin’s Alex Kpakpe looked the business until the final pass. Kpakpe had a similar chance but Yeltz goalkeeper Daniel Platt was off his line to clear.
