STOURBRIDGE snapped up a deserved success after Ethan Freemantle’s close-range header proved the difference between the sides at the War Memorial Athletic Ground yesterday.
Royston came racing out of the blocks and almost took an eighth-minute lead when Alfie Williams hit a low long-range drive which struck the foot of the Stourbridge post.
That close call appeared to rouse the Glassboys, who cranked up the pressure by creating a string of chances.
