THE 10 men of Hungerford held out for a whole half on the last game of the season, securing a home win where only local pride was at stake.
The Crusaders made a bright start and soon found themselves in the lead after an Elis Watts corner was not dealt with, and Joe Shepherd was on hand to force the ball past Simon Grant. Basingstoke were forcing corners of their own and had a chance when Bradley Wison forced Hungerford keeper Ryan Clarke to tip the ball over.
