ALREADY safe, Tiverton Town ended their season with a narrow win over Sholing in Devon.
Jack Rice’s first-half goal came courtesy of a long-range strike that took a cruel deflection over Italian goalkeeper Giulio Girelli.
The Boatmen had the first shot of the game through Dan Mason, but keeper Zak Baker dealt with it. Lee Wort beat the offside trap, but again the alert Baker was equal to the task. The dangerous Wort also had the next chance for the visitors, and Baker was to prove his nemesis again.
