CHERTSEY Town hit the ground running in their first outing at Premier level by shooting into the lead in the first minute against Hungerford Town.
An inability by the Hungerford defence to clear the ball gave Jack Mazzone a moment to pounce and he scored from close range.
Chertsey were hardly in trouble, but looked have conceded 13 minutes later only for a late offside flag to rule out the visitors’ reply.
