TAUNTON surrendered a three-goal lead to share the spoils with Gliucester on their return to the Southern League after a two-year absence.
It took only 43 seconds for a Peacocks side fielding ten debutants to open their account, Archie Ferris lobbing Jared Thompson after Dan Ball’s back header fell short.
Evander Grubb then added another couple inside the opening half-hour with a shot through Thompson’s legs and a composed finish from Tom Smith’s through ball to leave the hosts in control at the break.
