HITCHIN suffered their fourth successive defeat and remain bottom of the league without a point. But this game was a lot closer than the final score suggests.
At first it seemed the hosts would be overwhelmed when Kettering took a deserved lead with a well-worked goal scored by man of the match Dan Jarvis after 12 minutes, set-up by Ben Hart and Kai Fifield. With the visitors then being pegged back, Hitchin finished the half strongly with good efforts from Liam Brooks and Coree Wilson, whose overhead kick was just short of going in.
