MARK Haines scored the only goal as Bishop’s Stortford picked up a first win in the league since the opening day with this hard-fought victory over St Ives Town.
The visitors have lost all of their away games in the Southern League Premier Central so far this season, while the Blues remain unbeaten at home.
From a Saints corner, Stortford broke quickly with right back Cole Dasilva finding himself on the left wing.
He crossed to Brad Russell, but his volley was blocked for a corner on the right.
