LOWESTOFT TOWN left The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium with all three points following a brace from midfielder Joe Duffy.
Jack Harding had to make a save to deny Gabriel Overton in the opening minute, but it was Banbury who started to look more of a threat at the other end.
But it was Lowestoft who led on nine minutes when Duffy dispossessed Yaw Ofusu to slot home via a deflection.
