NEITHER side deserved to win a robust “Flower Derby” as the Tulips and Poppies failed to bloom.
Leaders Kettering failed to create anything of note in the first half with Johnny Edwards isolated up front. At the other end Bartosz Cybulski’s header straight at Dan Jezeph from a corner on 15 minutes was the best Spalding chance in a dour opening 45 minutes.
The game did spark into life in the second half.
