STRATFORD Town dropped vital points in their promotion push as struggling Hitchin held them to a draw at the Arden Garages Stadium.
The visitors were the better side for the opening half-hour and took a deserved lead when Dan Stokoe tucked away a 19th-minute penalty after he had been fouled by Kevin Joshua.
The same player had put an effort wide moments earlier and Rio Deall was also off target when sent in on goal with just keeper Jake Weaver to beat.
