WINCHESTER earned an important victory in their bid to avoid the drop as Jamie Barron’s second-half strike, alongside a Luke Cairney penalty save, was enough to defeat a Hungerford side who have play-off aspirations.
It was a first half devoid of goal-mouth action with the Crusaders having the two chances of note. Rhys Tyler fired over the bar, before Rafa Ramos’ deflected shot struck the side-netting.
