LOWESTOFT’S survival hopes were greatly diminished by a solid and clinical Spalding side who controlled the game throughout and looked a level higher than their hosts.
It took the visitors 19 minutes to open the scoring with Jack Roberts running into space before hitting a tremendous volley into the roof of the net from 20 yards.
And just as Lowestoft were gaining momentum they were knocked down again as the Tulips added a second six minutes before the break.
