STOURBRIDGE snapped up maximum points against a shot-shy Alvechurch side that dominated possession but failed to produce anything in front of goal.
It was Stourbridge who began the brighter with Jai Verma twice going close in the opening exchanges, heading narrowly wide before forcing Church goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead to fingertip over the crossbar.
Stourbridge struck the only goal after 31 minutes when Blaine Rowe’s looping, swinging corner found Tyrone Barnett unmarked at the far post to net from close range.
