WITH all the pre-match build-up billing this as a potential cracker there was an element of disappointment as Stamford and Kettering battled out a fairly mundane draw.
After a cagey start Kettering had the first opportunity, Devon Kelly-Evans crossing for Wes York but his header was wide.
The visitors took the lead on the quarter-hour mark when Aaron Powell received the ball on the left and chopped inside where the penalty area opened up for him to run in and fire the ball low past Tom Jackson.
