THREE first-half goals enabled Merthyr Town to consolidate their position at the top of the table against a Winchester side who pulled a goal back in the second half, but were in the end beaten by a good footballing side.
The visitors made an excellent start when Kane Simpson set up Ricardo Rees who calmly rounded Luke Cairney in the Winchester goal before slotting home.
