BISHOP’S Stortford had a penalty saved before referee Joshua Crofts was taken injured as they lost at home to Lewes. Dayshonne Golding opened the scoring early on with a deflected effort that wrong-footed goalkeeper Fred Burbidge.
James Hammond’s free kick nearly doubled the lead for the visitors, but Jordy Mongoy’s sliding effort after a deflection off the wall went through to Burbidge.
