WORTHING top the table for the first time this season after a crushing win over struggling Merstham, despite missing an early penalty Ollie Pearce won the fifth-minute spot-kick but the Worthing top scorer fired his effort straight at Merstham keeper Matte Pierson. It was as good as it got for the Moatsiders, however.
