A SECOND-HALF fight back saw Chertsey Town come from behind to beat Tooting & Mitcham United in an ill-tempered clash.
United looked to be on their way to all three points at the half-time interval after Danny Bassett’s fierce drive gave them the breakthrough.
However, the break seemed to breathe new life into Town and in doing so made for an entertaining second period.
Town’s goals came in the space of eight minutes as they levelled on 62 minutes through Jake Baxter before Jonathan Hippolyte completed the turnaround.
