KINGSTONIAN scored two first-half goals to fend off a late rally by struggling Lewes, whose poor home record continued.
The Rooks had the ball in the net early on, only for James Hammond to be flagged offside after slotting home Berti Diau’s knockback.
But Ks led on 15 minutes, Rooks keeper Nathan Stroomberg- Clarke tipping Dan Bennett’s shot onto the bar and ex-Rook Gus Sow heading home.
It was two-nil on 28 minutes when Bennett rounded Stroomberg- Clarke and slotted home Tommy Kavanagh’s sliderule pass.
