BOTH teams shared the spoils in this season opener in which Aveley played the neater football but Sudbury always looked dangerous in attack and equalised 12 minutes from time through debutant Luke Hipkin.
It was Sudbury who started the brighter with Cruise Nyadzayo firing wide in the opening minute. Aveley saw claims for a penalty waved away after seven minutes after George Sykes and debutant Sudbury goalkeeper Lewis Ridd collided in the box.
