■HEARNE Bay were too good for VCD Athletic at the MBS Stadium.
During a very competitive first half, both sides’ strong defences dominated the game.
Herne Bay posed more threats, and forced VCD keeper Sam Mott into two excellent saves.
A piece of Ansah magic broke the deadlock five minutes before the interval.
He spotted Mott off his line, and lobbed the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out. The lead was doubled three minutes into the second half, Dan Johnson scoring from the corner of the box.
