■HAVING been confirmed as Staines manager on
Thursday, Jack Porter knew his side would be in for a stern test from high-flying Marlow – but they kept their cool to earn a point.
The day did not start well for Staines, losing David Pitt to a pre-match injury, and being unable to survive Marlow’s powerful start. A corner from the left was headed home at the far post by Marcus Mealing after only 11 minutes.
