■BRIDGES somehow survived a difficult start and a tense climax to claim all three points against a Corinthian side, who were denied by the post four times in the opening twenty minutes. Mitch Bromage had much to say about that inthe Bridges goal, but he was finally beaten on the half hour when a free kick was touched in by Corinthian skipper Jack Bath.
