A CLINICAL first-half performance took Cray Valley within touching distance of securing a play-off spot against rivals Ramsgate.
Leading scorer Marcel Barrington gave Valley a 14th-minute lead, firing low past Ramsgate keeper Jacob Russell following a forceful run from the left by Hassan Ibrahiym.
Chris Lewington was rarely troubled in the home goal as Rams vaunted strikeforce was kept at bay.
