SITTINGBOURNE’S dreams of potentially taking top spot in the league were dealt a blow as Three Bridges, despite being reduced to ten men, deservedly defeated them.
Brannon O’Neill, who gave a captain’s performance in midfield, gave Bridges a tenth-minute lead from the penalty spot after a clumsy challenge by Frank Puermo on Noel Leighton, but further chances went begging.
A beautiful goal by Leighton seven minutes into the second half was marred ten minutes later by a second yellow card Mario Quiassaca headed home Elliott Sartorio...
