ASHFORD United and Whitehawk FC had to settle for a point apiece at Homelands.
The visitors had a lively start to the game and would have counted themselves unlucky when Charlie Harris whiskered a shot past the post, with keeper Patrick Ohman rooted to the spot.
Eventually, the Nuts & Bolts did wake up and got a foothold on the game – Omari Hibbert stinging the palms of Luke Glover, who nearly made a catastrophic error prior to that save.
