VALLEY continued their impressive recent run with this comfortable win against second placed Chatham.
Adam Coombes hit a post for the hosts in the eighth minute after Denzel Gayle’s deep cross fell to him ten yards out, before Valley took a deserved lead.
Gayle’s effort on goal took a deflection from Chat’s defender Dean Beckwith before finding its way beyond Ben Bridle-Card.
Valley extended their advantage courtesy of a penalty converted by Coombes after Dan Bennett was brought down.
