ASHFORD United kept their play-off hopes alive with a late winner against Lancing FC yesterday – Gary Lockyer providing the goods to make it six from six for the striker.
Shots fell the way of Lockyer and Johan Ter Horst early on to no avail, then Alieu Secka was called into action to tip Cameron Brodie’s shot onto a post.
The Nuts and Bolts could have been at least a goal up at half-time, but a stubborn Lancing side kept them out.
