HASTINGS United boss Chris Agutter reckons he has landed a coup in luring back talented youngster Jack Bates to the club.
Midfielder Bates proved a huge hit at United as a youngster before being spotted by Derby County.
He eventually made the move at the age of 18 after a successful trial and went onto play seven times for the Rams’ first team in the 2021- 22 season, while also being chosen for the England Under 18 Schoolboys squad.
