■A FIRST-HALF stoppage-time penalty was all that separated the two sides as Leatherhead welcomed back former manager Luke Tuffs and his Ashford side to Fetcham Grove.
Ashford keeper Toby Mawer was injured while gathering a Leatherhead corner after 40 minutes and had to be replaced in goal by outfield player Alex Stingelin. Ashford sub Adam Poynter’s first action came with a rash challenge on Leatherhead striker Tommy Stagg on the stroke of half time.
