■ASHFORD UNITED won this most entertaining all Kent encounter by the odd goal in five.
Sheppey United began with a flourish and took an early two-goal lead courtesy of defensive errors by Ashford, with the goals scored by Alexander Willis and James Bessy-Saldanha.
Ashford reduced the deficit when Ian Draycott scored after some good work by Vance Bola. Harvey Brand equalised for Ashford just before half-time. Sheppey applied plenty of pressure in the second half, but Ashford keeper Jacob Russell was equal to the task. The home side won the game in ...
