THE Mayplace Ground only just passed its morning pitch inspection and the spectators were glad it did, as the 119 in attendance got to see a really entertaining end-to-end game of football.
Both sides had good chances in the fi rst half, but only Ryan Hayes could fi nd the net, with his 20-yard drive enough to give Phoenix Sports a half-time lead. On the hour mark Burgess Hill Town drew level thanks to Olly Hamstead’s far post header.
