WROXHAM worked hard for the win with a boisterous display in poor conditions. Wroxham almost took the lead instantly through Ryan Miles, who had his shot tipped over the bar by Luca Collins.
Wroxham looked dangerous on the counter and came close when Robbie Linford’s volley struck the crossbar from a free-kick. Midway into the second half heavy rain fell at Trafford Park leaving the pitch waterlogged making it extremely muddy. The Yachtsmen adapted well to the poor conditions and began to threaten the Maldon defence.
