GRAYS Athletic are celebrating having a home to call their own – but chairman Lee Vehit says the hard work starts now.
The former Conference side and two-time FA Trophy winners have had to endure tough times since exiting their historic Recreation Ground home 14 years ago.
They have since led a nomadic lifestyle and are currently groundsharing with Tilbury. However, the Isthmian North side’s efforts to acquire a ground of their own in recent times have paid off.
