■ HANWORTH Villa got the better of Sutton Common in the Isthmian League – South Central Division this weekend, as a Sam Merson double sealed the points away from home.
Following a first half where the hosts looked to be in the ascendancy, Merson notched his first goal in the 54th minute.
A rapid counter-attacking move saw Finlay Mac-nab play Alex Body clean through on goal before he unselfishly squared for Merson to make no mistake. Merson’s second goal was admittedly a little more special.
