■ LUKE Ige’s first-half goal was enough to earn Sutton Common a crucial home win over Leatherhead.
Lukas Franzen-Jones hit the post within the first five minutes for the visitors, and they were made to rue that chance when Ige put the hosts in front.
Leatherhead continued to push for an equaliser towards half-time but Sutton had the best chance on 37 minutes, when it was their turn to hit the woodwork.
