MARGATE made up for the time lost after a delayed kickoff by comprehensively outgunning Brightlingsea, with all three goals arriving in the first half.
An accident by the A12 held up proceedings which eventually kicked off at 3:35pm.
Margate were in front after 14 minutes. A deep corner was headed back into the danger zone by Tom Wynter and Joe Taylor bundled the ball home after a goalmouth scramble.
