TOM DERRY kept Tonbridge’s promotion play-off push firmly on track when his 85thminute strike overcame a resourceful AFC Hornchurch.
The win kept the Angels in fourth place, three points clear of sixth-placed Worthing.
Tonbridge certainly enjoyed the better of the first half but for all their dominance the breakthrough just wouldn’t come.
Chances fell to Chinedu McKenzie, Derry and two for wideman Joe Turner But their inaccuracy and the fine form of AFC Hornchurch goalkeeper Callum Chafer kept the game goalless at the half-time interval.
