WINGATE and Finchley fought hard to earn a crucial victory at home.
Whilst it was nervy at times for the Blues, the end result proved to be comprehensive.
Wingate asserted their dominance right from the off, and the first goal came even before the 10 minute mark.
Donovan Makoma took aim from a good 25 yards out and fired a rocket into the top corner.
And the Blues took advantage of their momentum, earning a penalty just five minutes later when Reece Beckles- Richards was brought down - Sean Cronin stepped up to score.
