WHITEHAWK’S chance of survival took a blow after Bishop’s Stortford completed a smash-andgrab win.
The game started 25 minutes late after the visitors were delayed coming down from Hertfordshire.
And the delay seemed to suit the Hawks after some great early efforts by Connor Tighe, including a free-kick which somehow stayed out after hitting both posts.
However, Stortford took the lead on 22 minutes after Whitehawk failed to deal with Jamie Cureton’s free-kick, and Alfie Mason tapped-in.
