BOWERS & Pitsea came from behind to secure a point in their first game at Step 3, earning a draw against Wingate & Finchley.
The windy conditions led to a fairly poor opening, but Wingate came alive as Charlie Cole forced Callum Chafer into a tight save.
Chafer again dened Cole after the half an hour mark, but there was nothing he could do to deny Olumide Oluwatimilehin, as the winger let fly from 25 yards to hand Wingate the lead.
