GATE FAIL TO OPEN UP REGENT’S DEFENCES

MARGATE 0 BRIGHTLINGSEA 0 MARGATE were unable to break down a resilient Brightlingsea side and both sides had to be content with at least getting off the no-points mark for the season.
The Gate almost got off to the perfect start in the opening few minutes.
Jack Richards swung a free kick in from the left and after a mini game of ping-pong in the box the ball fell to Ben Swift, but he missed the target. On eight minutes, Margate had their best chance of the entire game.
