RICKY KORBOA’S second- half strike proved the difference as Carshalton edged this battle between two of the division’s in-form teams.
The Robins ended Margate’s run of three consecutive wins while they have now lost once in eight matches.
The hosts started the brighter but Gate keeper Joe Tupper was only forced into one comfortable save early on.
Margate came closest to breaking the firsthalf deadlock on 27 minutes when Robins keeper Kleton Perntreou tipped Adem Ramadan’s long-range strike over the bar.
