Dartford badge

Midfielder Samir Carruthers has agreed to rejoin Dartford after spending last season at Chelmsford City.

Former Aston Villa man Carruthers previously spent the the end of the 2011/22 campaign, plus the entirety of 2022/23, at Bericote Princes Park. He claimed the Players’ Player of the Year award just over a year ago when they fell short in the play-offs. Following April’s surprise relegation to Pitching In Isthmian League Premier, he’s returned to try and lead Ady Pennock’s side back to National League South.

Following Carruthers to Dartford from Chelmsford City is Jacob Marsden. The goalkeeper made 57 outings across four years for the Clarets in all competitions.

Former Crystal Palace and Norwich midfielder Denzelle Olopade has arrived from Erith & Belvedere in a third arrival for the Kent club.

Those departing the Darts include longest-serving player Jordan Wynter and striker Alex Wall as they gear up for their first season in Step 3 since 2009/10.
