FORMER Rugby Town boss Dave Stringer is the new man in charge at Chasetown while fellow Evo-Stik NPL club New Mills have parted company with manager Roy Soule.
Stringer left Rugby by mutual consent after five years at Butlin Road. He led the club to two second-place finishes before they ended one spot outside the play-offs last term.
He replaces Marcus Law at the Scholars after he decided to return to former club Kettering Town last month.
Chief Executive Mike Joiner said: “We are very pleased to get Dave on board. He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge at our level of football.
“His teams have always been competitive, playing the type of quality football that our fans have been used to in the past.”
Meanwhile, Evo-Stik NPL Division One North side New Mills are searching for a new boss after Soule decided to step down.
The Millers, working on a tight budget, finished in the relegation spots last term but were saved by a reprieve and chairman Ray Coverley paid tribute to the departing manager.
“Roy’s loyalty and efforts during an emotional time last season when he sadly lost his mother shows the man’s commitment to the club and its supporters,” he said.
“I have nothing but the utmost respect for Roy and have personally thanked him for all his hard work and wish him well for the future.”
