Hyde United to be sponsored by website The Lad Bible

NEWLY fan-owned have secured a major sponsorship from news and entertainment website The Lad Bible.

The Tigers have become an internet hit, especially on Twitter, with their humorous look at their past two seasons which saw them drop from the Conference Premier to Step 3.

And they have linked up with The Lad Bible, said to be the 12th most visited website in the UK, in a deal that will see the Tigers’ shirts sponsored as well as the Walker Lane end at Ewen Fields renamed TheLADbible end.

The Lad Bible has over 11million followers across their Twitter and Facebook accounts but have been criticised in the past for celebrating ‘obnoxious lad culture’ and ‘sexist content’.

Arian Kalantari, co-founder of The Lad Bible’s parent company 65twenty said: “We love the community feel and strength of support that Hyde United has built up amongst its fans, and the message that it sends.

“TheLADbible is a community in the same way and we have the same passion for supporting our community.

“We love Hyde’s sense of humour, which really comes through their social media, and they already featured on TheLADbible a few times.

“I’m convinced we can do some great things together and fans everywhere will share the excitement of supporting a community club which is owned by its supporters.”

Daz Mellor, director of Hyde United, added: “It has been a roller coaster ride this last few years for Hyde fans but with recent good news like the club changing its name back to Hyde United, the fans purchasing the club and the return of Gary Lowe and Martyn Booty, I feel entering into a partnership with TheLADbible is yet another piece of the rebuilding jigsaw.

“Football clubs like Hyde rely on sponsorship and It’s good to see businesses like TheLADbible helping out football clubs, they have a great team at their offices who have not only been helpful and supportive but like ourselves are keen to get involved and looking forward to the new season ahead.

“I would personally like to thank Arian for his help and assistance in making this deal happen and look forward to working with them and getting Non-League football back where it belongs.”
