SALFORD CITY co-owner Gary Neville has been named the new head coach of Spanish giants Valencia.
The 40-year-old, who is also a coach with the English national team, has been given the job until the end of the season and joins brother, and fellow Salford co-owner Phil, who was already on the coaching staff at the Mestalla.
Valencia are owned by Singaporean Peter Lim, who is also a co-owner at Salford, so the duo have already worked together.
Neville, who alongside brother Phill, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt, bought the Evo-Stik NPL Premier club last year, has given the Ammies a real publicity boost.
They were recently the subject of a BBC documentary and their FA Cup first round game against Notts County was shown live on TV.
Their 2-0 win set up another home tie in the second round, against Hartlepool United, and Salford will once again feature on BBC on Friday night.
