FORMER Grantham Town joint-boss Wayne Hallcro will become the sixth different man in the Loughborough Dynamo dugout this season as the club continue to fight against Evo-Stik NPL Division One South relegation.
Ian Robinson and Gary Sucharewycz left their roles as joint-managers after Saturday’s 5-2 defeat at leaders Stafford Rangers.
The pair made Dynamo aware that they had accepted an offer to take over at Midland League Premier side Long Eaton United next season and they duly left by mutual consent.
They only took over at Loughborough in December, replacing Scott Machin who had replaced Lee Morris and Jason Maguire in October.
Dynamo are second bottom of the league and four points adrift of safety after Saturday’s defeat and Hallcro has been drafted in to try and save the club from the drop.
His last role in the game came at Belper Town, where he assisted Jimmy Albans – who he was with at Grantham – but they departed the Nailers in September.
Loughborough chairman Frank Fall said: “Loughborough Dynamo FC and their joint-managers Ian Robinson and Gary Sucharewycz have agreed to part company by mutual consent.
“This followed a meeting at which the managers informed the club that they had taken up an offer to manage Long Eaton United at the start of next season.
“They were fully committed to continuing in the role until the end of the season, but after a week of discussions the directors felt, given the news, it would be in the best interests of the club in the long term if they were to appoint a new manager now rather than in the summer.
“All at Loughborough Dynamo wish to thank Ian, Gary and their coaching team for their unstinting efforts in difficult circumstances, and send them all good wishes for the future.
“The directors have appointed Wayne Hallcro, at short notice, to take over as manager.”
Long Eaton chairman Jim Fairley, meanwhile, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gary and Ian on board. As a club we have been progressing our off field plans and now have a stadium and infrastructure set for the Evo-Stik level.
“With those plans advanced, we were clear we wanted a management team with access to players to progress to that level and who also share our long term aims and ambitions for this football club.
“We are confident that Gary, Ian and the management team they bring with them will generate some real excitement at Grange Park next season.”
